About the shop

A small shop that only does one brand

Sub-Zero Repair Sammamish is an independent service business. We are not a franchise, not a dispatch board selling your call on to whoever is nearest, and not affiliated with Sub-Zero Group, Inc.

What that means in practice is narrow: built-in and integrated Sub-Zero refrigeration and nothing else. Column refrigerators and freezers, freezer drawers, undercounter units, clear-ice makers and wine storage. The parts inventory on the van reflects that, and so does the assessment — we are not learning your appliance on your invoice.

Sammamish is home ground rather than the far edge of a Seattle map. The plateau is full of kitchens built between the mid-nineties and the late 2000s, which means a lot of original Sub-Zero columns now well past twenty years old. Those units are worth repairing: the failures that show up at that age are fans, heaters, thermistors, gaskets and valves, and none of them justify a replacement column plus a week of cabinetry work.

How we work

  • Sealed systems, not just swaps. Compressors, condensers and refrigerant charge diagnosed under gauges. Most shops in the area stop at the fan motor and hand the rest back to you.
  • Built-in and integrated only. We work on Sub-Zero columns, drawers and wine storage all day. No dishwashers, no laundry, no learning your kitchen on your invoice.
  • Price agreed before we start. A firm parts-and-labour figure after the assessment. The flat $89 service call comes off it when you approve the repair.
  • The plateau is the route. Sammamish is not an outer edge of somebody else’s Seattle map. It is where the van starts, which is why morning calls here get same-day slots.

What we will tell you honestly

If a repair does not make financial sense, you will hear that before you spend anything beyond the service call. A sealed-system rebuild on a thirty-year-old unit with a corroded evaporator is sometimes the wrong call, and saying so costs us a job and keeps the phone ringing.

Two lines is usually enough to know which parts to load. Calls placed before noon on the Sammamish plateau are normally seen the same day.
